In early March 2024, as the bull market ran hot, Solana traded a range of roughly thirty-eight percent inside this short window — a low of $103.99, a high of $143.14 — and closed at $130.92, essentially unchanged from its $130.30 open. Nothing about the fundamentals changed across those days; the movement was leverage being flushed in both directions.
A flat close hides how punishing the window is. Stops placed at any sensible distance were hit, often on both sides in sequence, and the trader who was ultimately right about direction still lost money getting there. This is the most common way a correct view produces a losing account.
Same engine, same hidden right-hand side — a different day's problem.
